2022 - 2023 Administration

Todd Sharrock, Principal
 Mr. Todd Sharrock, Principal

My name is Todd Sharrock and I am honored to lead the Falcon Family as the Principal of E.T. Booth Middle School.  I began my educational career over 20 years ago in 1997 as a Computer Science Connections teacher at Union County Middle School in Blairsville, GA.  Since that time, I have held both faculty and administrative positions at Young Harris College and North Georgia Technical College.  In 2008 I joined the CCSD Family as a science teacher at Creekview High School, teaching both Anatomy and Biology courses, co-sponsoring the school’s Aeronautics Team, and serving as the science department head.  After eight years at Creekview, I made the move to Woodstock High School as an Assistant Principal in charge of Career Tech education and eventually Curriculum.  In 2018, I was selected to be a part of the Superintendent’s Leadership Academy III, which helped my growth as a leader and helped to prepare me for the role of Principal.  In March of 2019 I was selected to serve as the principal of E.T. Booth.

Originally from Hobe Sound, FL, my family moved to Blairsville, GA when I was six years old.  My elementary through high school years were completed in Union County School System, and afterwards, I earned my A.S. in Biology from Young Harris College, my B.S. in Biology and M.Ed. from the University of North Georgia, my Ed.S. from Lincoln Memorial University, and my Leadership Endorsement from Kennesaw State University.

I am honored to be a part of the Falcon Family and the amazing Booth Community.  I intend to use my passion for education and my experience to serve the students, parents, and faculty of E.T. Booth with integrity. If there is anything I can do for you, please don’t hesitate to contact me by phone at 770.721.5500 or by email at todd.sharrock@cherokeek12.net.  Go Falcons!

Amanda Blackwell

Amanda Blackwell, 7th Grade Assistant Principal

My name is Amanda Blackwell and I am so excited to join the Falcon Family as an Assistant Principal.

I am originally from the Buffington Community of Cherokee County where I attended Buffington Elementary School.  My family moved to Pickens County where I completed middle school and high school.  After high school, I attended Reinhardt University where I earned my B.S. in Early Childhood Education.  I continued to earn middle grades certifications, my Gifted and ESOL endorsements, and Special Education certification and most recently, my M. Ed. from Valdosta State University in Curriculum and Instruction.

Since starting my career in education, I have been blessed to fill many roles.  I began as a self-contained EIP teacher in Gordon County.  I was fortunate to be able to return to Cherokee County and taught at Clayton Elementary for 11 years.  I have been at Teasley Middle School since then.  I have taught all grade levels as a Special Education teacher and then settled into 6th grade ELA.   I have always sought roles that allowed me to pour into both my colleagues and students.  I am excited to bring this quality to my new role as Assistant Principal.

My husband, Cole and I live in Waleska, Ga with our three children, Mac, Lauren, and Knox.  Our children attend Teasley Middle School and Cherokee High School.  Our weekends are spent outside, playing sports, or in Tennessee on the Conasauga River kayaking and camping.

I can be contacted at 770.721.5500 or by email at Amanda.Blackwell@cherokeek12.net.

I began my career in 2007 at Teasley Middle School, in the same building where I attended middle school and with many of the same teachers. In 2014, I transitioned into the Academic Facilitator role supporting math and science. After 10 years at TMS, I moved to Creekland Middle where I have served as ILS for the past 4 years.

I am (as well as my husband, Jason) a lifelong resident of Cherokee County where I attended RM Moore Elementary, Teasley Middle, and Cherokee High School. I earned my B.S. from Reinhardt and continued to expand my educational foundation by completing my M.Ed. and Ed.S. from Piedmont College. I then attended Berry College for a 2nd Ed.S. in Leadership. I am currently pursuing my Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Liberty University, Never Say Never!

Jason and I have two daughters, Aniston (10) and Tinley (8) who attend RM Moore. We live on a small farm in Waleska and raise Angus cattle. Most of our weekends are spent either working outdoors or on the lake.

I am thrilled to become a Falcon and have the opportunity to serve as Assistant Principal at ET Booth.
